Leadership Mentoring
About Leadership Mentoring
How do you work?
Our work together will involve a series of regular, one-to-one conversational sessions to help you to achieve meaningful change through actionable steps. I utilize multiple tools to activate your inner wisdom depending on your goals. We arrange a schedule and timeline that also aligns with your personal situation.
How can I know if it’s for me?
We kick off with an exploratory call to identify your challenges and goals, answer questions, and ensure there’s chemistry before we get to work! If we decide to move forward, then part of our contract with one another is that if we feel we are not moving forward, we find alternatives for you.
What happens in our sessions?
We’ll identify your desired outcomes, uncover what’s blocking you from achieving your goals, and create an action plan so you can move forward. Sometimes it’s verbal, other times we use visualization, writing, art, or movement; it depends upon your affinities and situation. I often times give you reflective exercises to apply outside between our sessions.
Where do our sessions happen?
We meet at a convenient time for you online through Zoom, or in-person if you are based near the Portsmouth, NH area. No long commutes or dull meeting rooms! If online, we can create transcripts of our sessions so you have them to keep and utilize.
How many sessions will I need?
It really runs the gamut, depending on your challenges and goals. We’ll agree on how many sessions and what period of time, in writing, before we truly begin, which often takes one to two sessions.
Will our work be confidential?
Our sessions are ALL strictly confidential. It is a foundational ethic of my profession as a psycho-therapist. What happens in our “room”, stays in the room! I create notes of every session, and these are kept in a locked file on my computer. I will follow the privacy laws of your state and jurisdiction if called upon.
Is this coaching or consulting?
Both, and neither in the way you may have met them. A coach asks questions; a consultant hands you a plan. I do the second with the honesty of someone who has run the business you are running, and I stay in the room while it gets built.
What size of business do you work with?
Owner-led enterprises anywhere in the United States, most often from six to two hundred people: restaurants, cafés, studios, wellness spaces, shops, and mission-driven organizations of every kind. On site wherever the work calls for it, on Zoom everywhere else.
Culture & Systems Facilitation
About Culture & Systems Facilitation
How long does this take?
The 30 Day Reset stops the bleeding. Off the Floor, three months, builds the core systems. The Foundation, six months, builds an organization meant to outlast your involvement. We agree the scope in writing before we begin.
Will this make my business feel corporate?
No. The point is the opposite: systems written to protect what makes your place yours, so it survives growth with its soul intact.
Do you work with nonprofits and schools?
Yes. Universities, nonprofits and associations have their own rate. Ask.
